My name is Maya Benjamin

I'm a student at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. After serving as the managing editor of my award-winning high school newspaper, I entered college eager and prepared to immerse myself in my new community through writing. As a writer for four college publications, I'm dedicated to embracing new experiences in the hopes of learning as much as I can about the world of news. Whether writing for my local paper or for Yahoo Finance this past summer, I've loved getting to serve as a watchdog and spread the truth.

Although I am perpetually on deadline, when I'm not typing away at my computer, you can find me going on walks by the water, trying new restaurants and chasing sunsets.
